Prof. Dr. Alexandre Di Miceli da Silveira

Prof. Dr. Alexandre Di Miceli is a professional speaker, business thinker and researcher entirely devoted to corporate governance, management, and business ethics since 2000.

Dr. Alexandre holds a Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in management from the University of Sao Paulo and has been a visiting professor at Cornell University and Université Catholique de Louvain.

He is the founder of Virtuous Company Management Consulting and a full professor of corporate governance at Alvares Penteado School of Business.

Dr. Alexandre is the author of “The Virtuous Barrel: How to Transform Corporate Scandals into Good Businesses” as well as of the best-selling books on corporate governance in Brazil, including “Corporate Governance in Brazil and in the World”, “Behavioral Business Ethics: Solutions for Management in the 21st Century”, and “Corporate Governance: The Essentials for Leaders”.

He is a consultant for the IFC/World Bank Group in projects and trainings related to corporate governance around the world and is a member of the committee that prepared the Brazilian Code of Best Practices issued by the IBGC (Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance). He was also a professor at the University of Sao Paulo (2005-2016), independent consultant for the OECD, and vice-president of the Brazilian Society of Finance. 

He has published more than 25 papers on peer-reviewed journals and presented more than 50 papers at international conferences. For his contributions to corporate governance and business ethics in Brazil, Dr. Alexandre is the recipient of several awards. He is fluent in English and Spanish, native in Portuguese, and proficient in Italian and French.

Prof. Dr. Angela Donaggio

Profa. Dra. Angela Donaggio is an international speaker, consultant, lawyer, professor, and researcher dedicated to corporate governance, compliance, and diversity since 2004. Mrs. Donaggio holds a Ph.D. from the University of Sao Paulo Faculty of Law, an LL.M. in Business Law from the Getulio Vargas Foundation, and an LLB from the Pontifical Catholic University of Sao Paulo. 

She was a Visiting Scholar at Cornell and Harvard Law Schools. Mrs. Donaggio is a Professor at Getulio Vargas Foundation, at the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance (IBGC) and FACAMP.

She is the author of “Corporate Governance and New Market: Investor protection and regulatory failures” (Saraiva, 2012) and other books, as well as papers in Journals, magazines, and newspapers on corporate governance, regulation, compliance, and diversity.

She was a consultant in an international corporate governance and risk firm and in IBGC (Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance), actively engaged in the preparation of reference documents on corporate governance in Brazil. She is fluent in English, proficient in French, Spanish, and Italian and native in Portuguese.

Caetano Altafin

Caetano Altafin is a business consultant, lawyer, serial entrepreneur, rower, and public speaker in leadership, management, innovation, and corporate governance. Caetano holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at Harvard and is a scholar at Fundação Estudar and Instituto Ling. Caetano attended executive courses in Finance and Investment Management at London Business School and in the U.S. legal system at Yale. Caetano is licensed to practice law in the State of New York (U.S.) and Brazil. 

Caetano has over 15 years of experience as entrepreneur and manager in cross border organizations and projects in four continents across sectors (venture capital, retail, business advisory services, and events) as well as in not for profit organizations. 

Caetano also has over 10 years of experience in the public and private sectors as consultant and lawyer focusing on corporate governance matters and cross border M&A, capital markets, and project finance transactions. Caetano has helped companies setting up compliance programs and going to market (acquiring other companies, raising funds, or divesting). 

Caetano is a certified skipper and ocean rower and, in 2015, he spent 44 days at sea to become the first Brazilian national to row across the North Atlantic. Caetano was featured in the documentary “Bildungsroman”, released in 2011. He is part of the Brazilian Corporate Governance Institute and is fluent in English and Spanish and native in Portuguese. 

Felipe Brescancini

Felipe Brescancini is a consultant, social entrepreneur, and researcher dedicated to the themes of work purpose, conscious leadership, and social impact. He is an advisory board member at Plan International Brasil and founder of Think Twice Brasil Institute, which works with human rights education and social engagement. 

He has a master's degree in Psychology of Economic Life from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in the United Kingdom, where he earned distinction in his thesis. He has a post-graduate degree in Communication from ESPM in Sao Paulo and a bachelor’s in business administration from Pontifical Catholic University of Sao Paulo (PUC). He has two certificates in Social Impact, one from Artemisia and another from Yunus Social BC and in Economics for Transition by Schumacher College Brasil. 

He is co-author of the digital book “Empathy Experience throughout the World”, which reports his research project on social inequality through 40 countries in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia for 400 days. 

He worked for ten years in marketing at Procter & Gamble, where he was part of the Social Responsibility Committee, and previously he worked at BankBoston with process control for two years. 

Passionate about learning cultures, he has been in 95 countries and lived in England, Chile, and Australia. He is fluent in English and Spanish, intermediate in French, and native in Portuguese. 

Gabriele Costa B. Garcia

Gabriele Costa B. Garcia is a lawyer, social entrepreneur, and international speaker. She is the founder of the Think Twice Brasil Institute, which promotes education for peace, human rights, and social engagement. She is the coordinator for the Promotion of Human Rights at the Human Rights Commission of OAB/Sao Paulo (Bar Association) and she is an advisor at the RONA Foundation, an organization that works for women's rights in Kenya. 

She has a master's degree in Human Rights from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), in the United Kingdom, a Bachelor of Laws from Pontifical Catholic University of Sao Paulo (PUC), a postgraduate degree in Corporate Law from EDESP/FGV (Getulio Vargas Foundation) and in Social Innovation Management from the Amani Institute. She is specialized in social business from Artemisia and has a degree in Social Innovation from the University for Peace (UNPeace). She is a Chevening Alumni. 

In 2014, she led research on social and gender inequality in 40 countries in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, called "Empathy Experience", through which she acquired a global and multicultural view of the human rights situation. She is co-author of the digital book "Empathy Experience throughout the World". She has worked for ten years at the law firm Pinheiro Neto Advogados, in which she served as a member of the Social Responsibility Committee. 

She is fluent in English, proficient in Spanish, and native in Portuguese.
